Wharfside Patients' Forum next meeting

Our next meeting is yet to be announced

Changes to how your medication is prescribed

The government's funding to the NHS does not keep pace with the cost of treating more and more patients with HIV, click here to read a leaflet about potential changes to the way your medication is prescribed

In brief, you may be dispensed two or more tablets instead of an "all in one" pill - this is because it is cheaper for the NHS to buy the individual parts of some combination medicines separately. You should not be forced to change the medicaiton you are on to something else - any changes should be based solely on clinical need, not financial savings

We need more volunteers

The forum needs to reach a wider audience. We need

  • Patients with IT skills and knowledge,
  • any patients with free time to attend subsidiary meetings and report back to the forum

The WSPF has been very successful and has been used as a model at other clinics, but we currently need more volunteers. Contact us by email if you are interested

You can contact us in confidence by email (forum@wharfside.org.uk) or leave messages for us in the suggestion box in the clinic reception (Wharfside Forum are the only people with the keys to this box)
